I wasn't trying to imply that DCS invented that. I'm just saying that he uses it so efficiently in conjunction with well-defined characters that I don't need a mental voice. I guess I was comparing it mainly to other webcomics, most of which (at least those I've seen) don't use that often.

How could I have forgotten Watterson's method of using scribble-text for Moe though? Since Calvin & Hobbes was the only newspaper comic I ever liked, I can't fathom how I forgot that.

You know, I could actually picture Millie saying all that too.

As could I, and that voice really does work well! I don't think it's too nasal sounding.

My recording of me singing in lower tenor earlier got seriously messed up in the filters, as my recent horseness (sudden temprature changes) prevented all the nice overtones in my voice from making it through all of the noise filters I had to throw on to prevent issues with the noise from the furnace. Y'know, thinking more, while it does fit, I have to agree with BSP, it IS nothing I imagined it to be.

Hm, I'm not really seeing it. It could work, but not what I thought Millie would sound like. *shrugs*

Actually, I did picture her voice to be like this.
Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

To be honest, I hadn't really thought about what Millie might sound like. But hey, if DCS thinks that voice is good for Millie, then who am I to doubt him?
Anyone ever considered a voice for Ozy? Or is he going to be left out?
Yes, I see the light now, but nothing else.
