BTW are you saying d/dx 1/3 r^3=r^2 dr/dx=r dr/dx r?

thats cirtantly not true: r^2 dr/dx != r dr/dx r = r dr/dx. You're off by a factor of r.

d/dr 1/3 r^3=r^2 or d 1/3 r^2 = r^2 dr in diferential form.

You can't comute things accress the diferential oporator.

I'm confused.

Umm.. well, by elimination, if it's not Paul, nor George (and certainly not Ringo), it's probably John. Unless it's that mysterious fifth Beatle. *scans area suspiciously*

I woulda spittaken at that if i read that... mainly because that will happen to me. On my business ethics exam, there was a large picture of a fish tank on it... it had a point, a reference to a lecture earlier that month, but it was still completely random, i think. My tests are always filled with doodles, and messages written to the teacher about them. i wrote to explain what the fishtank was doing under the question about Emmanuel Kant... I really don't know how he took to it though!

Come on though... just thinking about whats going through the test-takers mind when you see something like that is funny!

It might have been John, unfortuantely I've been checking with some friends and they can't remember his real name. The mystery deepens.... This is starting to drive me nuts, I'll have to check with other friends. This was about 10 years ago, so he would be about 30ish now (he was in his twentys). What are the names of the Popes that were around 30 some years ago?

keep in mind grading calculus finals is often a 12-hour process... when you've been at it that long, everything is funny.
