9/10 for the listening to music one. It would be 10/10, but no iPod.

10/10 as you DON'T own an I-pod.

Man I hate I-Pods. I actually had some kid on the bus ask me why I still use my CD player...I could have gone all music tech and explained the art of compression to him, but I just said that it sounded better (which they do)

But you can't listen to vynal whilst walking down the street.

Also, I have a set of decks, but I only use it for older stuff as it was recorded for vynal, wheras most of the stuff I listen to is recorded and mastered for CD.

Skipping all depends on the equipment . . .

You could always go in for a turntable with a laser pickup . . . yes, there are such things: http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/Future ... &page=1

That will still skip. Remember, when you're walking, the vinyl won't just wobble on its vertical axis. How fast can the tracking lasers react to lateral movement?

How do they do it in a CD player? Prescanning . . . that's the way an antiskip player works. Just because it's a phonograph doesn't mean it can't take advantage of current technology

But, perhaps the game should resume?
