Obviously the premises vary. Some vampires dies from the sun. They probably all could die of starvation, but we never see that because it doesn't make good entertainment. Some get killed by a silver bullet, like a werewolf. I disagree... I think one could make watchign a vampire starve be etertaining. But I think there are soem vampires that dont; need to eat; they only do so for entertainment.
