*In the tunnle, a fox with static bolts running through his fur gets bumpped into.*

Ruedii: "Ouch! Can't a Kitsune play his gameboy in peace?! I'm really trying to relax you know, it's so creapy out there. I don't know why, but I hate the moonlight, especially around here. Maybe it has to do with my fear of wolves."

*Ruedii, the thunderfox goes back to playing his game, and then suddenly battery runs dead leaving the cave dark except for periodic lightning bolts from his fur.*

Ruedii then says: "See, because of you I didn't get to save my place!!! BTW, there aren't GRUEs in this cave. Oh well, I better find that flashlight . . ."

Ruedii continues changing the subject: "You're a cat, right? Cats can't be warewolfs, can they? Oh, wait, you don't turn into a wolf if you get exposed to moonlight do you."

Thunderfox pauses, and then interrupts: "Never mind, I'd rather not find out"
Rooster, hobbling along behind with his makeshift broom-crutch passes the "ghost" and notices several small glass disks embedded in the wall of the tunnel.

"Probably a hologram designed to freak us out."

As he gets to the computer room he looks down at his arm. He has scratch marks all over it. Being a keen werewolf enthusiast, he knew what it might mean. He rolled his sleeves down and hoped that neither Bocaj nor Richard had seen. He'd noticed that neither of them had scratches at all.

Richard starts decending the stairs, as he hits the third step, The sound of tearing MEHTUL fills the cavernous room; the step begins its lengthy descent to the ground, and Richard, losing his balance, falls into the gap.

As Richard slips into the awkward position forced upon him, the jagged MEHTUL catches his shirt, ripping it down the side, and revealing the deep gash.

Unaware that the gash was there before and fooled by the dim light Bocaj offers his sympathies: "Oh geez! You alright Richard? It looks like you cut yourself something fierce on that MEHTUL!"

(Off topic about the Llewellyn ad on tv: I'd vote for him )

"What do you mean? The gash was there when I woke up. It's perpendicular to the direction I was falling," says Richard, the situation gradually dawning on him. "A little help please? I'm kind of stuck here. Or you could just let me fall to my extreme amounts of pain and injury, possibly even death."

Richard struggles to get up, while holding onto the railing. It is obvious that he is being inhibited by excruciating amounts of pain. Finally on his feet after about a minute. He turns, hops lightly over the missing stair, and examines the remaining shard. "It appears that somebody didn't want us going downstairs anymore. The sides of the stair were cut partway through."
