National Jamboree!

Well on Saturday I'm leaving for the National Jamboree for Boy Scouts. Its going to be in Virginia. Bush may make an appearence at the opneing show and also I think theres supposed to be some country band thats going to play <!--emo&<_<--><img src='http://definecynical.mancubus.net/forum ... ns/dry.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='dry.gif' /><!--endemo--> (hey its Virginia i can't believe I expected otherwise). Apparently they don't want you bring laser pointers to the opening show because if Bush does come theres going to be security and snipers everywhere. Its because if you point a laser pointer at the president you could be shot <!--emo&:o--><img src='http://definecynical.mancubus.net/forum ... s/ohmy.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='ohmy.gif' /><!--endemo--> . Don't ask me why they can't trust Boy Scouts <!--emo&:P--><img src='http://definecynical.mancubus.net/forum ... tongue.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tongue.gif' /><!--endemo--> . They also require a photo ID to get into the Jamboree. Its going to be in some sort of army base or something. About 43,000 Scouts are going to attend. Theres going to be patch trading, survenoirs, and all kinds of things. For three days we're going to be at Kings Dominion and then we're going to go to the actualy Jamboree site. Its going to be fun <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://definecynical.mancubus.net/forum ... iggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo--> . Though I have no clue how someone could even get a gun into the Jamboree <!--emo&<_<--><img src='http://definecynical.mancubus.net/forum ... ns/dry.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='dry.gif' /><!--endemo--> .

Finally I got onto this site! for about a week I couldn't get onto this site for some reason. Well I'm back and had lots of fun. I was in Troop 221 subcamp 2 (thats more for Bocaj than anything just in case he knew anyone in the subcamp). I did some patch trading, walked about 6 miles a day, and did the 5k run (which is a little over 3 miles) in about 18-19 minutes. We went to Kings Dominion for two days where I spent about $80 dollars on junk food <!--emo&:mellow:--><img src='http://definecynical.mancubus.net/forum ... mellow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='mellow.gif' /><!--endemo-->. I also bought white rimmed wrap around sunglasses <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://definecynical.mancubus.net/forum ... iggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo--> . The first 3 days of the Jambo was over 100 degrees and and a couple thousand people got heat stroke and heat exhaustion (don't worry no one died). Some of you may have heard about 5 people dieing. Well 4 of them were electrocuted and 1 of them had a heart attack but those were the ONLY deaths. Well i had fun and I'm happy to be back <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://definecynical.mancubus.net/forum ... /smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo--> . O I also think I have scars on the back of my neck from bad sunburn. The skin was actually brown to black <!--emo&:unsure:--><img src='http://definecynical.mancubus.net/forum ... unsure.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='unsure.gif' /><!--endemo-->.

I also forgot that I had to go through a MEHTUL detector 5 times during my trip. 3 times at Kings Dominion and two times at the Jambo. During the areana shows when Bush came we were not allowed to bring the following items: Flashlights with C or D batterys (they are large so they can be used as a weapon), fruit (so you don't throw fruit at the president is what i'm thinking), chairs with any kind of rods MEHTUL or plastic in them (could be used to shoot off a rocket), full water bottles (so you can't chuck them at the president), pocket knifes (well this is kinda obvious <!--emo&:P--><img src='http://definecynical.mancubus.net/forum ... tongue.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tongue.gif' /><!--endemo--> ), and other things I can't remember. And alos I think batteries that large could be used to make a bomb... But its mostly the large flashlights. Despite that I had fun.

O also my troop went through the wrong entrance and we didn't get our IDs checked even though there were army people all over the place <!--emo&:P--><img src='http://definecynical.mancubus.net/forum ... tongue.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tongue.gif' /><!--endemo--> . I lost me ID at King's Dominion anyway so that was lucky <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://definecynical.mancubus.net/forum ... iggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo--> .
