Is DCS's nickname "Rain"? (In an issue of the comic "Furrlough", theres a chapter of a story, "Heebas", and one of the characters is named "Sir Ozy", and at the bottom of the page, the author, Scotty Arsenault, had a footnote "Thanks to my friend Rain", and someone told me yesterday, that he was refering to DCS....

Yes, D. C. Simpson has indeed been known to go by the nickname of "Rain".

(The reason for this naming escapes me. Most likely because I've not heard it.)

So, then it is Ozy that makes a "cameo" appearance in Heebas....(albeit a grown-up version of him...)

no....I have the comic, so that's how I found out about it...It's in Furrlough #56 (I believe it's still for sale on Radio Comix's[Furrlough's publisher] online store...)

I read, in one of the many places where DCS writes, that he chose "Rain" as a screen name back when few people trusted the Net with their real names. It is a reference to the weather in the Seattle area. Mainly he thought it sounded cool. (He wasn't alone: check out the purple ninja who premiered in Ultimate Mortal Kombat III.)

Hrm, Seattle, yes. It does tend to rain there. Or at least be delightfully overcast.

Speaking of Scotty Arsenault, when do y'all reckon that Commander Kitty will be back?

I hope it returns soon, it went down with Yerf though, so it might be a while yet.
