Possible O&M reference
Well, I found the webcomic Schlock Mercenary the other day, and was browsing through the archives when something caught my eye: http://www.schlockmercenary.com/d/20041 ... br>
Now, look at the date. Dec 20, around the time of the Shelly story arc, which happened to take place in the Tea and Ice Cream shop. And there's the bird in the Schlock strip as head of the Tea and Ice Cream Society. Another thing to note is the use of the word "Luong," which is Japanese for "Dragon," and DCS just so happens to have used that before (namely, in his livejournal).

I am uncertain as to whether or not the bird's hat and vest are of signifigance.

So... O&M reference, or just pure coincidence?

I doubt this many possible references to the same comic strip in one place could be a coincidence. I actually rather like the style of this reference -- there are no cameos or anything, yet there's little question where the ideas came from. Like when I referenced the Pay 'n' Pay store in "Podunk U."

I think that's probably a coincidence.

But this can be debated for ages. ^^
Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

That bird is wearing a larger version of Ozy's jacket. That does it for me

It's not a coincidence--it's very deliberate. Howard asked me if he could do that, ahead of time.

I thought it was pretty funny, and I like Pocky.
