Well, what I've been looking into the past few weeks is now coming nicely into shape.

I've been looking into attending a Tractor Trailer Driving School for a career with a local trucking company, and the plans are now made.

The Details: This will be a three week education course in the fine art of driving one of those 18-wheelers you see on the highway all the time. My future hiring employer will pay for the tuition costs up front, I pay them back through driving for the company at least one year.

Another semi-critical detail is that during my time on this job, there will be times where I could potentially be away from my home computer for periods of up to three weeks at a time. During which time the only way of checking in online is through truck stops with Internet access.

I've already ditched my Afternoon job (Which was a POS job IMO), and letting go of the morning job I've had since before 9/11 happened for this opportunity, and it's worth a shot in my book. Worst I got to lose is a year and three weeks of my life, and that's nothing in the grand scheme of things. I WILL have a job waiting for me when I finish the course and pass the required CDL Road Test.

The Flight Details:

U.S. Airways

Departing Sunday, April 24, 2005

Depart: Manchester, New Hampshire 645 PM
Arrive: Philidelphia, Pennsylvania 810 PM

Depart: Philidelphia, Pennsylvania 1035 PM
Arrive: Indianapolis, Indiana 1136 PM

Classes Start on Monday April 25, Time To Be Determined, run for three full weeks.
During which time my Internet time will likely be virtually nonexistant, and most of you may not hear from me during that time. Upon completion of classes and passing of the Road Test I will return home and start my new career.

Returning Sunday, May 15, 2005

Depart: Indianapolis, Indiana 545 AM
Arrive: Pittsburgh, Pensylvania 800 AM

Depart: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 830 AM
Arrive: Manchester, New Hampshire 1001 AM

Any additional relevant information will be posted as necessary.

Where is Indianapolis? This handy map from Mapquest has been provided.

Cool, a truck driving course. Good luck with that Traysandor, and we'll see you whenever you can be here.

Tomorrow evening to be exact.

Some of you will see me around one last time tomorrow, but after that it's farewell.

For all my friends (And other Awesomly Insane People ), I wish you all good luck, good health, and I'll keep you all in my thoughts. Woohoo for insanity!!
I wonder if it'll finally get it's own forum too. I've always wanted a place online where I can talk about O&M.

Wait, "Indy" doesn't mean "Indonesia"?

You'll all have to excuse my not returning from Indianapolis quite yet, you see it took me a couple of extra days out here to get my license, but, yes, I made it through the program for those of you who've been wondering... I'll have to go and book another flight home though.

I'll be back home probably on Thursday, and I look forward to catching up on all the stuff I've missed in the last three weeks and change. I'll tell you all about how it went when I get back home. I don't have the time for it now.

Reporting from Beech Grove Public Library, Indiana (a suburb of Indianapolis), this is your friendly neighborhood Partially insane Vulpine signing off for now.

-- "Miles" Traysandor Vulpine
