Public response to Ruedii:
And you expect me, someone whom you have regularly insulted and tried to use in half of your "excuses", to help you out because it was "the nice thing to do"? You even said, "Oh well, can't expect him to be nice after what I said to him." And then you go on to ask me to "be nice". I fail to see any shred of logic or reasoning here.

But I digress. Perhaps I expected too much from you. (You said the same of me once. Consider this returning the favor.)

On another note, conflict is an omnipresent aspect of society. If it were not such a driving emotional force, we would not have competitions as entertainment and our wars would not each have their own theme song and catchphrase. In fact, there would be no wars. But we are human, and humans, as much as some may try to deny, are animals. It is as much of an instinct as is breathing.

...I really shouldn't rant like this. Ah well.

I really don't get what's going on here, mainly cuz of the blated sentances that make it impossible to know what's going on...
Is it, ReX is some stoogey person who sees himself as better-than-y'all... or he offends people and comes up with psychological excuses to cover them up... or talk about himself at the wrong times... or just doesn't fit in with some peeps...

Ah, sorry. I'm just in an extremely confrontational mood today for some odd reason.

That, and I'm dizzier than a centriuge in a cyclone.

You may wish to ignore me until I return to the realm of talking with my head instead of my mouth.

I wonder if it'll finally get it's own forum too. I've always wanted a place online where I can talk about O&M.

Anyway, I hope your female friend of a friend gets her computer back up (and possibly visits here sometime? )

As for Felix, I was hoping you'd come back. The forum has much less purple around without you.

Well, nobody else from that forum seems to like O&M. I don't think she's read it, as like I said, she doesn't trust me that much, but she's starting to trust me more. She finally respects my computer skills, now that she realizes her best freind on the forum (the second Mod, Clovis15) relies on me for computer advice as well, even though I tend to spout tangents about "Windows being sucky" (Cookie to he who can look that one up) he tends to tolerate them, as I tolerate his using Windows.

She's also a little say, how should I put this, tempermental. She's had a rough time in life, I really can't go into detail as I don't know much, but her behavior speeks for itself in that issue. She has been appreciative that I've learned to brush it asside with humor, though. I guess that helps. I also just don't think she's ready to mingle with this many people, even though I know almost all of you have had less than favorable life experiences, as I know from everyone's behavior likewise. I won't go into detail as who has had what, as I don't know for sure, and I don't want to make false assumptions from incomplete evidence.

As for that half of my brain, it is my non-creative, logic driven half that can be very nasty. I would equate that half of my mind to an Andorian on Star Trek. About as intellegent as a Vulcan, but lacking the tact or reserve.

Anyways, I only asked GhostWay to pull that info for it was extrenuating circumstances, since I'm up, her computer is shut down right now. I didn't know whether or not he would say yes, I was only asking. I assumed he said no because he didn't think he was capable, not because he didn't want to. I was just trying to tell him he's far more capable than he thinks, as I've seen the same pattern of abilities he has in my reletives, and to a lesser degree in myself. I hope he doesn't mind me implying this, but this runs in many highly intellegent families.

I am glad Felix is back. We need more purple to counter all my grey.

Anyways, sorry about the 3 page post. I hope you can forgive me.

Ah well.

I like this debative side of you, even if you don't. It's fun. *l*

Anyways, let's drop this subject. Maybe we can find something less personal to debate sometime. It'll be fun. My freind Clovis that I spoke of, also is quite the debater. He's freinds with the person I was trying to help. He, however is a Republican, even though he is a moderate Republican. We have some pretty good debates.

I'd also like to note that if we did not have conflict, humans would not be driven to improve themselves, and we'd all be still scrounging for berries and hunting with sharpened sticks. So, like anything there is a cost for a gain, and a gain that can be taken from a cost.

Go ahead and rant, I bet with all the stuff you've read, and the fact that it's likely not going to be the same stuff I read, I bet we could have some really fun debates. After all, this forum could use a pair of debate masters as well, as a back-up archiver. I seem to think that everyone would agree that you and me are the best at debating. I bet DC Simpson could chip in. If we did a Socretese style debate, Jacob could be quite good at that, but he seems to be lost on many other styles, probably because we go too fast and are too agressive for his liking. I was actually thinking the two of us could coach him. It is rare that someone such as himself gets two perspectives on such an issue, and he is quite wise, more wise than myself I might say.

The reason I said I was ranting too much is because ranting is generally not well-recieved here. We here prefer messages that are short and to the point.
