Peter Gabriel - Shock the Monkey
"The beauty of this is that it is only of theoretical importance,
and there is no way it can be of any practical use whatsoever."

MxPx-- Quit Your life
(Before everything and after version)

Personally I prefer The AC version, but that's just me. Maybe this version is too popish for me.

Dire Straits - Romeo and Juliet
You and me babe, how 'bout it
Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

The Capitol--MxPx
(Decent, still on my 5-star list, but just barely.)

I'm currently playing my selection of favorite MxPx songs.

Invitation to Understanding -- MxPx
(The AC version. It's a great song, probably among they're best. Done in a nice emo-folk styling unlike the skate punk style of the orriginal version released years ago, that wasn't consistant with the song's lyrics.)

According to the liner notes, this song is from a compilation album entitled "Dark Muddy Bottom Blues" (on the Specialty label). But anyway.. back to the music.

Midnight Oil - Naked Flame

The Showbiz news jingle on local radio. It's very easy to get it stuck in your head.

HA!

There are a few nice catchy Simple Plan songs. Simple Plan actually takes a lot of their skate-punk style from MxPx. I like that they don't like to stick to one style.
