However, I could do so on his behalf, if he even gave me an email indicating such consent. I expect nothing in return, other than a small note, and the potential to for him to confirm that I indeed did help him get that domain name back to any potential employer. After all, that will help me an aweful lot getting a job in IT. Experience credit like that you can't buy for any price, and it does't hurt helping a friend in the process.
