I thought it was a fur who was sorta stuck as a babby, rather like I don't think I'll ever stop being a 15 yr old furry

Some people think so, but it's not like the sane members of our sub-sub-community ask others to participate in such things. We just don't like being burned at the stake at every possible moment.

My own definition of a babyfur is someone who's fursona is age 1-4. This often involves RPing (in real life, referred to as "cubbing out", or online) in the role of young babby, usually toddler-age. This can (and often does) involve items like babby bottles, pacifiers, babby clothes, diapers, babby toys, and lots of snuggling. The diaper part is what most babyfur-weary folks focus on, and the stigma that furs associate with babyfurs comes from some vile actions by people who are not babyfurs, they just happen to be doing something that babyfurs also sometimes do (ironically, this isn't too dissimilar from the stigma that non-furs associate with furry).

If you have further questions, I'd be happy to continue sticking my neck out and attempting to answer them. Ask anything, in public or in private, I don't care.

[hugs his plushie for comfort]

*Reads Babyfur thingo.*
Umm... there is a thing called something where people just wear diapers and pacifiers and stuff, Babyfur is probably just when they happen to be furry as well.

And judging by that, I'm definately not a Babyfur, I'm more nudged into the werewolf section.

Inryowdib. There's nothing dangerous about the link.

I know where you're coming from though. When I first read the phrase "date oneself" I thought it was something...er, distasteful, especially given the context (it was that one "Doonesbury" strip, in case any of you know which one I'm talking about). Now I realize it just means letting on how old you are by saying something outdated, e.g. "You'll date yourself if you call them 'station wagons,' though" (Consumer Reports, November 2004).
