Hee. I'm complex on this issue. But it's fair to say 'no', although I'm close enough to it that most people wouldn't make the distinction. I is a dragon of the non-anthro variety, heehee.

I've never understood the roleplaying/acting like an animal/dressing up/mimicing in general and there are some sides of furrydom I find unnerving. I've never considered myself to be or have an affinity with any certian species or share their qualites (and it's annoying when my username gets interpreted that way). The extent of it is that I really like animals and anthromorphic characters in general. So I probably don't fit the definition of a furry. But I do somehow fit into the fandom. My closest friends (both online and in RL) are furries. I just seem to be drawn in.

Actually I've never understood online roleplaying at all. Even the idea of typing "actions" as if we were in the same room was new to me until I came here. You might notice, I still don't do it.

Anyway, I guess it's just as well that the general public doesn't know about furries, 'cause they wouldn't understand 'em either, and people are quick to be judgmental about stuff they don't understand (just look at this post as an example). The idea of furries being the Next Big Controversy does not appeal to me, even though I know which side I'd take if it ever did.

I never thought that to be a Furry you had to dress up. I don't. I concider myself a furry but I love all animals. In real and in print,

I wear my tail & ears whenever I get a chance (which isn't as often as I'd like, unfortunately), and I wear my collar whenever I'm not at work, though I doubt I'd do a full fursuit, too hot.

My fursona doesn't usually wear much clothing. My pup form wears the usual kid clothes, my adult form usually wears little more than a collar and leather vest, occasionally jeans, the fur covers what needs to be covered
