I like how the sketchiness of this "non-strip" drawing reflects the provisional and uncertain nature of the election results at this moment.

I haven't even checked the news sites yet.

Maybe this is a metaphore about the elections.
I wonder if it'll finally get it's own forum too. I've always wanted a place online where I can talk about O&M.

I love this drawing

And it's pretty clear by now that Bush won, chances of Kerry winning Ohio are maybe 1% imo.

I guess even coffee isn't going to brighten Simpson's day. This non-strip seems quite fitting of the angst associated with an election that splits the country as evenly as it does. Let me say this, regardless of the winner in this election, there will still be about half of the people in the U.S. alone that will be dissatisfied with it. It's not the end of the world, just the presidential election.

By the way, I've heard the phrase "If Bush wins, I'm moving to Canada." from Americans ('People of the United States' just doesn't roll off the tongue as easily, does it?) way too often. If the people that do not support Bush leave, it will only make him more powerful. The best way to keep even a president's powers in check is for this country's people to keep up with their resolve and share that with others. I think Simpson has done a great job in that regard, and I find that commendable.

Given a split like the one in the U.S., it takes remarkably little to tip the scales.

It conveys more than any traditional strip would have. I give it two thumbs up.
