VII didn't suck. X is highly controvertial. X-2 is almost parrodious. VI is difficult to finish at best. Half Life rocked. SMB 3 was indeed the best mario game ever. Chrono-Trigger, sadly, didn't come out over here. Arc the Lad 4 was the first Arc the Lad game to come out over here. And FFT didn't come out over here either. ...I hate European releases of RPGs. So unpredictable.

FF7 is good. It's no FF9 and it's definitely no CT. Neither of these are Lunar, but I can hush. And Lunar 3 could be the best new game. Except they're never.. going.. to make.. the thing. So I'll settle for the first 2. Ah, sweet RPG bliss. Oh, and X-2 is a fairly good novelty game, though. Don't even pretend it's more than that. :) As for GTA, the best part about the game is.. everything that isn't actually the main plotline of the game! While that shouldn't bother me, it does. Regardless, there's something to be said for the game, I keep playing GTA3. (Disk is missing, though.) I'm also horribly biased, don't listen ta me. XD

It's been a 'could be' for ages and ages, as far as I know. They should wait until I finish Lunar 2. Of course, I've been playing 2 for months. I hypnotised Gizensha and took his PC to keep playing it, as well, being that I'm having to emulate the system. Siigh. I do own the complete, though. And don't have a system it'll run on. Double sigh.

I'm done trying to argue this. Your posts are as coherent as a rooster on adderall, and you just won't stop playing the fanboy for Rockstar. If you want to play fanboy and say this is the best game that will ever be made, fine. Felix made quite a few valid points in his argument, and all you ranted about was how "the game has never came out so we know nothing". No different from you. It's all speculation at this point, but he did bring up some interesting points. I haven't played either game on PC, but on the PS2 it did have quite a few slowdown points, and Vice City had handfuls of glitches that could've been fixed before it shipped. (clipping errors, stupid "friendly" AI, awkward camera movement anyone?) Another reason why putting a ship date on games before they're done is a mistake.

One piece at a time: Yes, I know there will be a PC port, but it never ceases to annoy me that it's considered a PS2 game when the first two versions originated on the PC. The camera angles ARE primarily third-person, yes, but it plays and renders like a first-person shooter. They made a few mild improvements, yes, but the graphics are still horrible even in screen shots (which are supposed to look nice to entice people into buying the game). Even really old games like Counter-Strike 1.0 and UT:GOTY have better graphics than the GTA series, and they run much smoother with 10x the frames per second of GTA Vice City. Based on the articles you linked to, the screenshots in them, and what I've heard from other sources, there has been no improvement whatsoever in the graphics engine of GTA4. I'm not a huge stickler for graphics detail in games, but if I can't get more than 30 frames per second in a game, when I can get 90 out of a newer game on the same computer with higher-detail settings, there's a serious problem with that game that an improved map cannot make up for. GTA 1 and 2 did not have multiplayer, though the idea was proposed before GTA 2 debuted. GTA 3 was supposed to have multiplayer, but then Sony bought the rights and nearly stopped it from being released on PC at all. GTA 3 actually does have the framework for multiplayer, but it's inaccessible from the GUI and requires an external application like MTA. Vice City didn't have multiplayer support, thanks again to Sony's interferance. GTA4 was supposed to have it, since Rockstar planned to cancel their PS2 contract, but since GTA4 is being released for PS2 before PC, they obviously didn't do that, and therefore there isn't a snowball's chance in hell of there being multiplayer support in GTA4. As an avid LAN gamer, this is a very important feature to me and my friends. How will the built-in radio stations blow? Simple, the game is set in present-day LA, and revolves around gang violence. It's catered toward gangster-wannabes, and based on this and the setting of the game, logic concludes that there will be a lot of rap, recent pop, probably techno, and MAYBE some of the new clone-rock. There will not likely be anything resembling a classic rock station in the game. I'm a huge fan of classic rock and little else, so the built-in radio stations won't likely appeal to me. However, this is not a huge problem, because the PC version always includes an MP3 player as a radio station. Perhaps you didn't read your own articles, the storyline for the game is pretty well laid-out in them. You're a guy who loses some relatives to gang violence, and you end up getting drawn into more gang violence to avenge them/figure out what happened/whatever. The fact that it relies so heavily on gangs is enough of a story-killer for me that I don't particularly care what the rest of it is. The previous versions were built around the mafia, which is a gang with class. Street violence is just stupid in my opinion, and gangs in general are lame mafia wannabes. Therefore, in my opinion, the storyline is crap. Lastly, I just want to point out that everything I've been saying about this game is my opinion, it's not fact, and I'm not trying to market it as such. You, on the other hand, are trying to push your personal opinions as absolute fact, which requires significant backing that I haven't seen from you yet. Not everyone here is a GTA fan, get over it. Get your facts straight before trying to argue with me over a matter of opinion. Chill, I hate no one. This isn't my forum, so it isn't for me to say who goes or stays. Even if it WAS my forum, I wouldn't make you leave. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but if you intend to engage in an argument (like in this thread), don't get upset if people argue against you. And, for future reference, typing in all-caps for more than one word at a time translates to an expression of anger or yelling. To give emphasis, it's usually more recognized to use bold or italics.
