Teenage Ozy
Awesome!
Hey yeah... Ozy looks MUCH more mischievous than Millie in that pic.
Strange twist.
Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

It looks to me like Millie's teen pic is a kind of 'model', and isn't actually meant to show any emotions - but all the same, they're both pretty cool. I still wouldn't want to see a 'high school' strip series - it would spoil the 10-year-old feel. Although a strip series with a visit to a high school could be good.

Wouldn't want the strip there personally, but see nothing wrong with a 'six years later' type scenario as bonus material in a book.

[edit - Just making it into a highschool scenario rather than a college scenario. Original post read 'ten years later'. Which would be interesting for a whole host of different reasons]

Hehe...would Millie become a raver? Personally I think Ozy would become a metalhead.

HAHA! Awesome editing there, Jerry! It makes perfect use of those expressions DC gave them.

Seeing them aged has brought on a whole other issue. Once we see how they look in this flash forward, that may severely limit what we may be able to discover from their younger counterparts. Take this for example: Once we see exactly how Ozy and Millie have grown, won't that drastically limit DC's ability to make them grow on their own terms in the regular comics? If we knew exactly how Ozy would turn out, won't that just ruin the experience of seeing it happen? Will that mean any attempt to change them simply backfire and instead revert them to exactly where they were? Indeed, I can see why this may not be a desirable thing for some.

On the other hand, it'd be amusing to see how the others would turn out (Llewellyn, Ms. Mudd, Isolde, Locke, Avery, Timulty, Felicia, Stephan, Jeremy, etc...) and who would make an appearance.

Oh, yeah, one more thing... it may be a future Ozy and Millie, but would it be our future too? I don't think DC would dare have the strips act as though our current president is still in power after all that time. There are also technological issues, social ones, and so many other things that he will have to be very careful in what he predicts.

EDIT: Oh yeah... we have touched upon this before, but wouldn't it be easier and more fun to tackle the college/high school issues using a flashback instead? I think it'd be really nice to know what ways led to Ms. Mudd becoming a lawyer, more on the influential past of Llewellyn, and maybe even seeing more of Locke in his early, older days.

A flashback, eh? It would be interesting but he has done a shorter version of one before, as im sure you know. For the serious issues, i think that they could be mostly ignored or just not mentioned if possible. But i still wouldnt like a high school strip as anything more than a 1 off
The end is nigh!
