Men Charged for Taping Explosive to Bunny: From the "What the heck were you thinking?" category. Dynamite fishing with rabbits . . . hardly sporting. . .

The thing I find unfortunate is that whatever sentence they get would probably be higher if Lucky was a dog instead of a wabbit. Sadly, dogs seem to have more legal protection than most pets.

Or at least in this country. It's almost like 'dogs are first class pets, everything else is a second class pet'. I'd also be supprised if fishies have any legal protection at all.

While it's true we tend to have a sliding scale on animal rights here, I'd say that abuse would be punished even if on fish.

I mean, sure, we hook them, scale them and so on, but copying that dynamite scene would still get ya hauled up by the RSPCA here.

I never got the whole rule that you gotta stop if you run over a dog, and not a cat. Simply because people love cats just as much as dogs, and any dog that runs onto a road...

Bleh.

I know someone who's cat is bigger than both his dogs.

Well at least they found out that she may be infected before it was too late. Unlike the poor guy who was bitten by a bat over here and wound up being the first uk rabies victem in over 100 years.
