When Radio Shack asked me for my address, I always gave a false one. (1060 West Addison is a good choice.. that's Wrigley Field.... learned that from The Blues Brothers )
I'd give "1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, DC" and see if the cashier knows what it is :-P

Try giving the adress of RadioShack's main office and see if they know

Haha, those are some awesome addresses

How about giving them the street adress and number to the nearest Pizza Hut (or Domino's Pizza, or other pizza place)?

Radio Shack automatically puts you on their ad mailing list. I just make things up off the top of my head. And I've probably unintentionally given them a few real addresses. I should apologize to those people whose addresses I made up.

Radio Shack is a company that runs small storefront electronics stores here in the States, and I'm not sure where else they are. The joke is that part of their marketing program is to collect phone numbers and addresses, so that they can send out mailings to customers, but sometimes this can seem like you're being tracked (which you are) for buying batteries.

On a side note, Radio Shack grew out of a division of the Tandy Leather company. It's a logical progression, leather to electronics . . .

Tandy went bust over here, and we never had Radio Shack

I must've been about 8 when it happened because I remember for ages they had this huge radio controlled monster truck for about 219 and I say it for 63 and then twenty-something, and my Mum still wouldn't buy it for me! It was green and shiny and i really wanted it. Ah well, it did me no harm in the long run. I just want to build a radio controlled car capable of breaking motorway speed limits (possible to do, I have a friend who is really into this stuff, he's part of a modding team and they made one to do 75 mph (:0). On a side note, one of them was gonna build an RC aircraft carrier but couldn't secide on a scale.)
The end is nigh!

I think the Tandy company went through at least a restructuring over here. First they changed their name to Radio Shack, and then reduced the number of products with their name brand. You used to be able to pick up anything branded Radio Shack, and look on the bottom and find that it was produced for the Tandy Corporation. And it's been several years since Tandy discontinued their computer line (which was very popular here in the states in the days of the 286 and 386).

Of course Llewellyn knows, he's just the head of the Zen party, and therefore is required to give a Zen answer.

uh... I mean...

I don't exist! go away!
Look! a shiney!
*lights&throws smokebomb and runs*
