Apple has long been known for hardware rather than software, and as such was not a great beneficiary of the 1990's tech bubble.Some people may say the internet bubble has burst, but in a climate where Apple has more money than the US Government, there still may be a sliver of the past remaining.

In fairness Apple was hit pretty badly just like everyone else on Sep 11th from a share price of 35 dropping to below 20 (and sometimes as low as for five years.
