So, given the semisuccess of my last thread (which is too horrible to look at from the bad writing imo), I have been taking a few more pictures. Given that I am swamped with the curse of things like memorizing amino acids and Shine-Delgarno (CURSE YOU FOREVER) (not really), and that well, there are like 500 of them, I have to decide what to poast and make some kind of witty commentary on them all because they're all cell phone camera pictures and looking at jpeg-quality images requires a bit of incentive.

So,

We can start with the skulls of a few animals. Have fun guessing, a hint is that these are the fursonae of fairly well known IRC members. I've left in the word "skull" to help your guessing in some pictures (but not all!); good luck :V

the CG lab, I don't spend much time (hence the blurry fingered-up pic) here but all the reagents are housed here as well as a handful of PCR and even a DNA sequencer :monocle:

My widdle back corner which I share under my gracious Investigator. When I grow up I'll stake out my own corner of the lab, but meanwhile I rest cozy in our corner (which is raided for supplies and ruined by other people :@ )

Forgot to get a good pic of our -80C freezer, but we also have a cryochamber filled with liquid nitrogen for when you need that extra chill -190C provides

an ULTRACENTRIFUGE RPM counter. You can also kinda see it in the fifth picture of the misc pictures (there's also a black filing cabinate), kinda looks like a top loading washer on the right side. It produces a G force on the order of the ten thousands

With all these highly technological pieces of equipment, we need only the highest quality timing devices and software. If it's good enough for Bob Barker, by Jove it's good enough for us!

nick I'm not sure we even really use the nitrogen cooler with the scope of my work,we're technically hijacking someone elses lab we probably don't need it, but I'm still figuring out how not to drink all the chemicals science is hard `____` (as a preview of my NEXT THRAED here's a sample of what I wrote for one lab meeting
