Last Sunday, on my DA page, this asshole first yelled at me for coloring Millie wrong then followed that up by accusing me of tracing. I reported both comments as spam.
I am copying. NOT tracing. DCS herself told me in e-mail that copying was a good way to learn how a drawing works. I am just starting to see what she means. The following are quick sketches I did over the week without copying or referencing the originals. The Mickey heads were just a spur of the moment thing.
Point is this: I could barely draw stick figures this time last year. While I have a long way to go this proves that the copying method is working for me. So, judge for yourself.
Here's a "in progress" sketch of Ozy I'm working on. It started out as a direct copy of the pose on the O&M cast page but I felt confident enough to play with it a little.
The finished Ozy will be up either late tonight or sometime over the next two days.
