I'm assuming by "Regular" you mean optical (ones with the red light). I personally have one with a ball, but only because my optical is missing. I've somewhat grown accustomed to the ball mouse though, because I don't really have a mouse pad, and it can be easier at times.

What can you play better, the triangle or the kazoo?
