It's been a long time since I last posted a song. I have a new guitar, and a new microphone, so hopefully this won't sound as awful as previous ones. There's a bit of a clipping issue in the chorus but apart from that I think I did a fairly good job of the recording. I wrote this song sometime last year, for a friend; I've changed it since then (most prominently the ostinato) but it remains my personal favourite.

It's called Kiss in the Rain. (Right-click to download.)

EDIT: If the above link does not work, the song is also available on my fancy last.fm page: http://www.last.fm/music/Nick+Spooner/Kiss+in+the+Rain.
Also, none of the previous songs will work now; boomp3 has been closed down. I might re-record one or two of them in future.

Lyrics:
On a silent rooftop we watch the stars
We wonder where our voices are
But we won't need them now; we are
Nestled in each other's arms

Your heart is all that I can hear
The world beneath us disappears
As thunderclouds draw ever near
We'll wait for them to meet us here

And then we'll kiss in the rain
We'll kiss in the rain
We'll kiss in the rain

On a quiet winter's night
Bathed in television light
Photon beams are not so bright
When they disappear from sight

The water scatters on the glass
As we tread softly through the grass
So as not to wake the air we pass
And when it seems we're alone at last

That's when we'll kiss in the rain
We'll kiss in the rain x5

I'm much too tired to offer anything even vaguely resembling constructive criticism.

So I'll just say that listening to that was quite wonderful. (orgasmic, too) :3
Anami and Anami are sitting around Anami says "GRR I AM ANGSTY LET'S EXPRESS ANGST" and so Anami says "ONE OF THE MODS ON DC IS A DICK I POSTED A PICTURE THAT WASN'T REALLY THAT INAPPROPRIATE AND THREE MODS SAW IT AND DID NOTHING THEN A FOURTH ONE SAW IT AND DELETED IT" and Anami says "OMG I HATE MODS >:("

I'm not much for constructive criticism either, since I don't know anything about anything. But I really liked it. It made me go like this :3

Quite good nick! Certainly better quality, and I especially liked the layered vocals you did on the chorus.

New stuff! First off, a cover of Iron & Wine's beautiful song Naked As We Came:

Iron & Wine - Naked As We Came

Also, a strange little song which appeared after BSP said "Travis doesn't come here any mooooore" (or something along those lines):

Travis Don't Come Here No More
(Not a favourite of mine but here nonetheless.)

Thanks to everyone for the ego-stroking, I appreciate it.

Like I said in IRC, they're both good, but you're too harsh on the latter.

If ego stroking is what you need, I am happy to oblige. For it is all I can do.

I really love your voice, it's so perfect for these kinds of songs. But most of all, I love you.

Edit- I'm actually going to put these on my mp3 player. No joke.

EditEdit- Just realized that's a bit creepy. But I choose not to delete it, because being creepy (and ego stroking) is what I do best.

Why is putting his songs on your mp3 creepy? I'll probably put House By The Sea on mine when I get round to adding new songs, if a link is avalible.

I love it when people put my songs on portable music devices. It makes me feel almost like a real singer-songwriter.

Yeah, if adding music to your MP3 player is creepy, then everyone I know is a possible rapist.

You sound like one. I appreciate your songs as much as I appreciate anything else on my music player. Perhaps more o.o

This is a well-known sea shanty, usually sung in a joyful (and drunken) manner; I gave it a more melancholy feel.
