A Thank You.
I don't know if this really belongs in this particular forum, but when I attempted to send in to the Yahoo address, it failed, so here it is. If I truly does not belong here, I apologize, as I JUST registered ten minutes ago so I could post it.
Mr. Simpson, I would like to send you this long overdue Thank You for the entirety of Ozzy and Millie. The Keenspot description, "For anyone who felt different as a kid" touches me right in my undersized, underused heart. I've followed it since I gained knowledge of it, which was around the founding of Greater Llewellyn Land, and after reading through your entire archive over three days, I felt like I'd found a portal, or really, more of a viewer into my own childhood and the friendships and hardships that were it's makeup. I'd like to think that we all carry attributes of Ozzy, Millie, and the plethora of individuals in your ensemble. They touched me, and still do. I can often be heard uttering "The Void!" at odd intervals. I thank you for this. I may be taking a risk at offense, but Sir, I feel I must: your slice-of-life ranks side by side with the exploits and mis-adventures of the residents of Bloom County, and I've often wondered how poor Opus would have regarded Millicent, or how Oliver and Ozzy would have interacted. The short of it, Sir, is this: You allowed me, no, you have gifted me the ability of revisiting my childhood, and the memories of my wonderful friends(after all, you never have such good and true friends once you "grow up"), all of whom I still love with all of my heart and soul. I know this may come across as rather "sappy", but this is how I feel. And I give you, once more, my heartfelt and sincere thanks for all of this. You have made my life better, simply by writing and drawing your thoughts and feelings. I wish I could have kept all those childhood lessons in my heart and mind, but Time has the unfortunate ability to make one forget the good, and only remember the bad. Thanks for letting the good back in.
And one last time, Thank You.
I truly mean all of this post. This strip had, and has a profound impact upon me, and I wish you well, Sir.

Why can't people spell "Ozy" correctly even when it's right there in the damn title?

Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

Well, Simpson was using it back in March, when I emailed a question to them. They may have since stopped using it, of course....I think she stopped using her yahoo account a while ago. Either that or it's full again, like it was when I tried to email her in...what was it, 2004? 2005? Anyway, it was a few years ago.
An Errant Mis-spell
It's exactly as it looks: a mistake. We humans do make them, much to our chagrin. I shall endeavor to rectify my mistakes in future posts on the spot. I was in a hurry. My apologies to all.
Cyaegha Out.
Cyaegha Out.
