it's very ironic how Angela got me to join C8 from DC, which I think was really because of her idea to get Simon to join C8, and then in turn Doc Sigma joined DC from C8, and then now Troy has somehow managed to find out about DC from the remains of C8's userbase

Yes, for several years. Even designed a couple of rooms that made it into the game (The Corridor of Pain and The Sands of Time).

Do/did I know you from c8?

EDIT: Oh, I see that c8 is now officially down forever. Too bad.

Anyone have a copy of Kevin's goodbye message from October 8th? I can't get the page to load.

I didn't know he issued an actual goodbye message. The webserver was moved to VMware, and I had to log into its host every week or so to reboot it because of a memory leak somewhere. About a month or so ago, Kevin changed the VNC password so I couldn't do that anymore, and he brought it up one more time after at least a week of downtime because of us asking him about it, and then he finally just stopped
