That tradition has been discontinued at some weddings after a bridge got a grain of rice somehow thrown in her ear leading to permanent deafness.
You'd think it would have been simpler to just not employ bridges in wedding ceremonies.

How about some cookies?
I believe the tossing of cookies will occur after the mammals get a taste of some of the dragons' contributions to the reception dinner.
