They did wear helmets with horns on special occasions though, right?<br><br>Well, not exactly like Salad's picture, but decorrated nonetheless, right?<br><br>the horned helmet stereotype was founded by either the Italians or the Germans, right?<br><br>and I knew Vikings didn't wear helmets like that. really I did.

As of yet no helmet with horns has been found. It was a myth that grew up during the romantic era. I'm not shure where or why exaclty. Wagner made the egal plums famous in his Ring series. Vikings tneded onlly to wear their helments when they were needed. They were quite vain and wanted to show off their butifull hair.

Argue not with a modern-day Norse Viking over hats. But I do know that the helmets worn in battle never had horns.
