Rooster, I hope you mean "the s***."

Not that I ever played D&D. I get confused by tabletop RPGs, and in my experience, hardcore gamers have little patience for beginners.

But I will acknowledge that D&D has had a tremendous influence, including on some of the video games I've played.

If I could live on an Outer Plane, my choice would be either Mechanus (if playing in the default setting) or The Barrens of Doom and Despair (if playing Forgotten Realms; I'd hang out with Hoar, the coolest deity ever).
Heh.. I must admit I haven't really given any thought about what Outer Plane I'd most like to live on.
A nice generic choice would be Union. It's basically one huge quasi-modernish city. And I think it exists in all campaign settings...

You saw that too? XD I love Randall Munroe. I was amazed by that comic, and it made me love him even more.

And my FA account as well!

You have to admit that there's a lot of rulebooks for D&D. Its very complicated.

I just realised that if the creators of Warhammer died, most of the fans would probably cheer. Warhammer fans are like Counterstrike fans like that, constantly bitching about how everything sucks.

It's exactly as complicated as the DM wants it to be, and it's exactly as complicated as the players are willing to put up with. No more, no less. I've gone entire gaming sessions without rolling a single die.
