Duck Hunt Incentive

Postby Llewthepoet » Mon Feb 18, 2008 6:23 pm

Roman likes to give people voting incentives every comic update, so people can vote for his comic.

I still have the game, the laser gun, and the original Nintendo system.

What do you think? Does anyone still have the game?

The trick is to have a parent who lets you sit close enough to the TV. You could also use the player 2 controller to alter the ducks' direction -- with your toes, if necessary.

hey, that's aweomse, excellent job!

hehe I had duck hunt on for my NES. I played it when I was like for, and I think I was traumatized by that laughing dog... to this day I still want to shoot him for laughing at me when I missed...
Everyone who ever played that game wants to shoot that damn dog.

I was really good at duck hunt, and I still have it.

Duck Hunt is probably the one violent videogame that does lead to violent behavior.

Fortunately you could shoot the damn dog in the arcade version.

The closest thing I've player to Duckhunt was Silent Scope.

I did play Duckhunt on the computer. It's not the same...

Also, when you shoot the dog you should see a fine red mist and some guy appearing on the screen yelling "BOOM! HEADSHOT!"

I'm still shocked Nintendo hasn't re-made Duck Hunt yet. The Wii seems like a good opportunity though.

I don't think it even appeared in the retro section of Wario Ware: Smooth Moves. But it occurs to me that the '80s were less PC. Ice Climber had the climbers clubbing seals, but in Super Smash Bros. Melee, they clubbed fantasy creatures. You can't change the duck hunt without changing the title.

Yes we couldn't let people shoot ducks in a videogame. It might lead to shooting people in a videogame and then society would collapse.

There's a good Duck Hunt-esque minigame in Wii Play. It's got those flying coaster things, soda cans, targets, ufos... and ducks that fly by in the background you can shoot for bonus points. Plus it's multiplayer!

On that note, Team Fortress 2 is the best multiplayer FPS ever. <3

Also it seems I have somehow made 1000+ posts.

But I was thinking of a plan
To paint one's gaiters green,
So much the color of the grass
That they could ne'er be seen.
I gave his ear a sudden box,
And questioned him again,
And tweaked his grey and reverend locks,
And put him into pain.

Even worse, it might lead to people shooting ducks!
And we don't want that!

Ducks taste terrible. :P
