Ms. Mudd (who desperately needs a first name, considering she's on that basis with Llewellyn at least) is certainly not the violent type, which would probably make it even funnier if she DID break someone's jaw. But past history indicates that Mr. Vine is genuinely scared of lawyers, which might work in her favor.
As to the fight behind the teacher's back, Jeremy's not as dumb as he looks. Any bully that hasn't been punished for this long has at least partly pulled it off by knowing how to not get caught. If a fight breaks out with two adults in the room, it only takes one semi-operational brain cell to figure out the perpetrators are gonna get busted.

*MASSIVE COFFEE SPITTAKE OF DOOM* I knew you read O&M, Nique...I didn't realize you also posted in this forum!!!
I just hope Ms. Mudd doesn't have to remind them of a place called either Columbine or Virginia Tech...that might be a bit tacky. On a lighter note, we need a jar like that...except for advertisers who do weird crap for every time they do something over the top.

If i had a jar like that i could use the money i would have put in it to solve world hunger, and bring about world peace (Puts another nickel in the jar)
O somewhere are philosophers
Whose heads dwell with the birds
Whose lofty thoughts and razor minds
Do justice to such words.
But terror of exploding heads
Is quite a bit to bear
So we'll just lie here in the grass
And yo-yo in the air

For those who didn't notice, the second post in this thread is the first post of one Ocifur. Oci -- mind if I call you Oci? -- we hope you stick around, preferably introducing yourself in the Airport forum.
Now, regarding the strip: Millie often acts like her mom is a tyrant, but the fact remains that no other adult is so helpful and sympathetic to her. When Millie got in trouble, I calmed myself by thinking how Ms. Mudd would make it better.
As for the jar, it's a great variation on the cuss jar. We ought to see numerous other kinds of jars. Whadya say? Flames? Excessive sarcasm? Cliches? Puns?

Well if Ms. Mudd hasn't paid off her mortgage yet, she probably is well on her way thanks to the excessive hyperbole jar. Brilliant D.C just brilliant. Speaking of the electoral college, it amazes me that in our technologically advanced society, we still use such an antiquated system. With the ability to communicate so readily across the country, there's really no need for the electoral college.
Without the electoral college rural areas would pretty much lose any power they have with the president. The president would have much more to win or lose with urban areas. The current system atleast gives the farm states a little more say.

One time, I was in a similar situation (aka, given detention in school, but not over bullying, rather because myself and some friends tore up the football pitch playing at lunchtime when it'd been raining for weeks on end - remember, I'm from Ireland - and we were so completely covered in mud that we messed up the classroom and suchforth).
Anyway, I digress.
Two questions:
1. How did Millie get so clean? I recall on the Day of Glare when I went home, my mother cuffed my ears roundly.
2. Someone said that Ms. Mudd should get a Christian name. I don't like that idea. Anyone else prefer that her Christian name remain unknown?

Ok, but I'm a Catholic, so I'll forgive you insulting my beliefs as 'utter hogwash', cause I'm lovely like that.
Which brings us right back to the concept of washing.
That little fox girl was shoved into the mud multiple times and was covered. Then, in the next comic, sparkling and clean again (I imagine Millicent oft has quite a bit of glitter in her fur and literally sparkles).

Now I really can't wait to see what happens next

"Like a post modern Peanuts with cat eared girls...kinda"
I'd rather not know Ms. Mudd's Christian name (or first name, if you prefer). I'm not sure why, but I just feel that way.

Huh. The 'new' atheists: the same as the 'old' atheists, only angrier. That would be me. And don't EVER, EVER so much as imply that I subscribe to the utter hogwash known as organized religion again.![]()

There's no faster way to offend me.

Fortunately, we don't have any angry theists around, so we shouldn't have any trouble...

Cameron is awesome because:
-Because he has an artistic style that is both complex and minimalist. This is profound!
-He once drew me as a roadrunner. It was an actual honest to god feral roadrunner, but a roadrunner nonetheless!
-He lives in Idaho among the wilderness and stuff and I envy him for that. 3:
-He is probably one of the most personable artists on here.
-I think he's the only one of us on here who drew a fanart that made it as a guest strip on O&M. This is an accomplishment!
