At first I saw RKN's avatar below your post and for some reason tagged RKN as saying this instead of you. It was quite the culture shock for a moment.
Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

Eh, I don't drink that (nothing to do with the alcohol content, just that I don't like the taste).

I'd have it unplugged and use it as a cupboard, don't need cold drinks so close by nor do I need to waste power like that.
In it would be books and other miscellaneous items.

It has nothing to do with taste and alot to do with you being a girly man.

There are a lot more alternatives to just beer.

And if he's completely alcohol-free maybe he's an ascetic in that way.

I hate this argument, I get hit with it all the time. Although asking them what's so 'girly' about neat spirits soon shuts them up.

He's just being a troll anyway, so you can ignore him.

Alcohol-free, yes. Ascetic, not so much.

But as I said, I just don't like the taste: every single alcoholic beverage I tried (beer, wine, assorted cocktails) tasted almost entirely like Buckley's.
