Cameron is awesome because:
-Because he has an artistic style that is both complex and minimalist. This is profound!
-He once drew me as a roadrunner. It was an actual honest to god feral roadrunner, but a roadrunner nonetheless!
-He lives in Idaho among the wilderness and stuff and I envy him for that. 3:
-He is probably one of the most personable artists on here.
-I think he's the only one of us on here who drew a fanart that made it as a guest strip on O&M. This is an accomplishment!

What?"what I really want to write is something more hardcore sci-fi. "
so doing what you want, and coming up with a half-assed explanation for why when and if your challenged on it is out.
bah.
i was trying to say, ignore the backstory and the why. just draw what you want and if you are challenged on its insanity, then worry about a reason for it.
since you want to do something more hardcore sci-fi, that probably wont work for you.
and no, i am not at all drunk.

Mewf.. just read through the topic. Wow, lots of nice work, Cam! Anyway, as for that comic/writing thing you feel like doing, who needs explanation? Just draw it, and worry about the suspension of disbelief later.
If you need help with that part, how's this: When technology has matured sufficiently, their products can can look like anything you want. For example, take a look at what folks have done to USB thumb drives already. Don't want "futuristic clothing"? Rationalize some period garment as more comfortable, somehow made of better materials, or perhaps the result of a technological disaster, something that makes futuristic clothing meaningless. And spaceships? Who needs spaceships? They're bulky, slow, and pretty lonely up there anyway.
There's more to science than space.

Geez, it's been almost two weeks since I've put anything here. This is not because I haven't been drawing or anything, just that I've mostly been doing random doodles instead of proper, finished drawings. In other words, I've been lazy. But here are a couple of the better doodles:

Those were just drawn in a cheap sketchbook. *shrug*Hmm, could you tell me what paper you used in those ones Cameron?
In other news, I hate MakeMusic with a passion. It's quite bad enough that they make you fork over tons of cash to get their software, but then they go and make you jump through all kinds of hoops to register it too!
