Debate slamming (Haikus, lots of 'em)

A place to talk about anything (that doesn't belong in the other forums).

It was a mistake.
However we keep this one,
and we post haiku.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving is not for you.

The haiku rules protest,
Their tree grown in foreign roots
The sound count pointless

Other rules rule the haiku,
When its leaves are counted, they fall,
Meter and meaning left behind

Mu-Lan resembles Ozy
The fox grows more furry in winter
Monks shave all the time?

The lamps burn brightly
False summer in tiny study,
From heat or haiku, tired

I have a question.
There are two threads for this strip.
Why are both still here?
Image?

Now I am thinking
two threads is overkill, yes,
Moved to Anything.

I won't lock it though;
please keep making haikus here
until we're all bored.

Mister The MAZZTer,
your avatars are so huge.
Takes long time to load.
< 1MB
All my avatars are so
Get broadband, it's cheap
Can't get broadband here,
I live out in the boonies.
I want it so bad.

Holley, did you know
That each line of your haiku
Is a bit too short?

More Haikus from the spotted fox!

Well, the last line was
right amount of syllables.
Guess it kinda works.

Haiku slam is fun.
Nursing bruises, though. I've been
Haiku-ing at work.

Haiku need Kigo
Or else toy with fallacy
Like sharp autumn wind.

Necessary
Seasonal reference
Puts you all on ice.

~~~
And so in closing
I show to you this form change
As is simply put:
I end this not with Haiku,
I slam you with Tanka here.
I forever love
But it had to die.
*holds up paw*
What the hell is a Haiku?
It's a three-line poem in which the first and third lines consist of 5 syllables and the second line consists of 7 syllables. There may be more to it that I don't know (or frankly, care about), but that's the gist of a haiku.
Huh. Seems like a little bit OCD.
