No... Double posting is when someone posts something, then makes another post right after it, with nobody else saying anything in between. However, the posts went: DCS, Silver, DCS, Silver, * so no, that's not double posting. It would have been double posting if it had been: DCS, DCS, Silver, Silver, but's that's not the case. Both Sliver and DCS himself are double-posting. Shall we consider the rule disbanded?
*(or something like that)
Double-posting is a right of all citizens. When one has thoughts that build on a discussion, one should be able to express those thoughts even if no one else has bothered to reply yet. I oppose all bans on double-posting in this forum.

Cameron is awesome because:
-Because he has an artistic style that is both complex and minimalist. This is profound!
-He once drew me as a roadrunner. It was an actual honest to god feral roadrunner, but a roadrunner nonetheless!
-He lives in Idaho among the wilderness and stuff and I envy him for that. 3:
-He is probably one of the most personable artists on here.
-I think he's the only one of us on here who drew a fanart that made it as a guest strip on O&M. This is an accomplishment!

The problem with that is, if someone read the original post before the edit was made, he will be confused, as will everyone else. There's also the edit buttonWhen one has thoughts that build on a discussion, one should be able to express those thoughts even if no one else has bothered to reply yet.

Take a look on page 4, near the bottom. DCS double-posts. And Sliver double-posts on the next page.No... I wasn't complaining. I was asking whether we should forget the rule altogether.

There was a rule?

Astro> gforce's smiles can cure cancer in kittensgforce422 is awesome because:
-He made the absolute nicest comments about me in the other topic. I didn't respond to them yet, because I suck, but they are greatly appreciated! =D
-I would say he would also be a good runner up as one of the nicest people alive.
-He joined the IRC sometimes. But not enough, I say! Chat moar =D
-He is evidently only 18 year old but he could easily pass for 25. =D
-He is a drummer like *I* am and this in itself is cool.

Double posts are all right if the person posts something new and worthwhile. That's how I handle it anyway. Unless the person deliberately abuses this rule.
Don't think of language as only the Arabic/Latin influenced western speech.*sigh* Humans and their limited communication through mostly verbal speech...

Jack's pretty much got it. I would add though that it's ok to ignore if a person only does it occasionally, especially by accident. I've done it a couple times myself.
However when a person posts more than twice in a row or does it often and/or intentionally, then they need to be enlightened on how annoying that is. Repeat offenders need a forced time out from the forums.
I once saw one guy make ten posts in a row. Good lord, there's an edit button for a reason y'know.

I wonder what I was talking about... Anyhow, for us animals, body language, sound, and even scent are all a part of communication.Double posts are all right if the person posts something new and worthwhile. For geeks like me, you can add code to the list.
As for double posting, there is little need for it. You can just edit your posts, if necessary. Though I have been guilty of double posting every once in a while. My most blatant offense is in the "How would you get kicked out of the white house?" thread. I made a post, and my second post was "By double posting!" Yeah, stupid joke.
My grandfather gets credit for my sense of humor. I prefer cash. (Ack! Another one came out!)
EDIT: Look! I edited! Ain't I cool?!
