I've noticed quite a few webcomic artists started deviantART (or similar) pages. I say go for it! I know I'd be very interested to see.

I'd check your DeviantArt page regularly. Image
Seconded.
gforce422 is awesome because:
-He made the absolute nicest comments about me in the other topic. I didn't respond to them yet, because I suck, but they are greatly appreciated! =D
-I would say he would also be a good runner up as one of the nicest people alive.
-He joined the IRC sometimes. But not enough, I say! Chat moar =D
-He is evidently only 18 year old but he could easily pass for 25. =D
-He is a drummer like *I* am and this in itself is cool.

Oh ho! I knew you had one SOMEwhere, I just couldn't find it.* ;) Anyway, I'm thrilled you're putting stuff up there now.

*It's a fact I've observed--EVERYONE has a dA account. However, many cartoonists never post anything, having only gotten the account to comment on others' work. (Speaking of which, I know T. K. Dye has one too...perhaps you could give him a poke?) :)

Cameron is awesome because:
-Because he has an artistic style that is both complex and minimalist. This is profound!
-He once drew me as a roadrunner. It was an actual honest to god feral roadrunner, but a roadrunner nonetheless!
-He lives in Idaho among the wilderness and stuff and I envy him for that. 3:
-He is probably one of the most personable artists on here.
-I think he's the only one of us on here who drew a fanart that made it as a guest strip on O&M. This is an accomplishment!

He says he doesn't really draw finished pieces outside of his cartoon work. If you want him to, start e-mailing him demanding it, or something. Except then he won't do it because he's a contrarian that way...maybe you'll have to ask nicely. 8)

Honestly, and this might be an unpopular view, I persionally prefer the vitality that unfinished pieces can have, that's often absent from the final polishing. Pencils especially - brush inking can retain the life of it, but those are rarely used.

Oh, no, I understand. Right now I'm sort of stuck doing the exact reverse, despite a lot of prodding (mostly from myself) to draw more comics and fewer miscellaneous drawings. Though miscellaneous drawings do have their benefits: I wouldn't have time to draw guest strips and fanart for people if I was busy with my own comic... 8)

BTW, I was just looking at your LJ. That's the big reason right there why I'm happy you're putting things on dA--I don't have a LJ account, don't want one, except that I wish I could leave comments sometimes. (On soy milk--I was raised on the stuff. Can't stand it anymore, actually. I got tired of it, big time. I still accidentally put it in my cereal, though--I have 3 family members who can't have milk, and the cartons look sort of similar...:D Yes, I can be a very absent-minded person.)

I don't have a DA account, but I do have a FA account.

I agree. I know there's many times where I feel my initially sketches seem to have more life to them than the final product. Something about that simple (yet not so) look.

Hooray! This calls for a new announcement on the fan club! This should be fun.

Heh. The day D.C. Simpson joins FurAffinity is the day the Four Horsemen ride in and rain down their wrath and sour jelly donuts upon mankind.
