You're thinking wayyy too hard, norse. Stop thinking before your head starts to hurt. Multiple tails are just cool. That's about all there is to it.

Overanalyzing things is fun, though, if for no other purpose than to try to confuse others. Is there symbolism in the multiple tails? Is it a metaphor for life? These are the crazy things you start to think about when you take honors English...

In the end, more than 1 tail is just cool. I'd be happy with just one tail, but 2 would rule.

Perhaps the drawing is a pictoral allegory of God. The 3 tails symbolize the 3 parts of the Christain God (the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost). His blue fur is the same color of the blue sky that many people look to as heaven.

Yes, I made that up out of nowhere. That's what I do in English all the time: just make stuff up, teachers love BS like that. Overanalysis is fun!

There is the Calvin and Hobbes in which Calvin realizes that writing is just a way to confuse people.

That won't help your school get additional funding through standardized testing!

Going Off topic again (sorry ) I don't agree that we just 'find things that aren't there' in English. (not that you don't, you may..)

Recenly, we have been doing work about langauge and representation, the sapir-worf hypothesis that language influence thought; about how the use of language can be used to among other things predispose people to follow certain social roles while at the same time seeming to exclude the possiblity of certain groups like women, gays, blacks Etc from doing certain things through the use of language, and how the ethnic majority and dominant social group, as they control the ideological state apparatus and define the discourse have the ability to make this self-perpetuating.

I mean, I find things like that pretty interesting.

and once more again off topic, but i just re-read that strip the good doc posted, and realized that it is a bit more relavant to current news than I gave notice to. The report Millie wrote is apparently about Micheal Jackson! creepy!

On topic, I can't believe i hadn't posted in here yet! I thought i had! I really like that, hdofu. Good work!
