You'd be a seventeen-cent-aire!If I had a penny for every time I heard a Perl coder confuse Perl and CGI...Then again he programs in Perl.
...well, I'd have seventeen cents.
Anwyays, now that we've gone to the trouble of replacing that image, could we maybe get an updated link icon for the right side? Actually now that I think about it, it's been ages since a proper banner and/or icon (is that what you call those small-but-rectangular link things?) were circulated. Closest we came since I started reading the strip is the banner I designed, which actually no longer reflects the current style of the strip either.

...and that confusion led to thinking of a directive beginning with "#"?I didn't confuse Perl and CGI! I confused Apache and CGI!If I had a penny for every time I heard a Perl coder confuse Perl and CGI...Then again he programs in Perl.

The only directives I know of in Apache configuration that start as "if" are IfDefine, IfModule, and IfVersion, all of which are SGML-based (i.e. surrounded with <> and ended after the block of directives they effect)
Not talking about Apache configuration directives dude, talking about Apache SSI directives. There's tons of 'em. Back before the popularity of other server-side languages, SSI would be used for tons of stuff, one common thing being to return different HTML depending on whether the user is a human or a spider. But, like somebody (you?) said a few posts back, nobody uses SSI anymore (except for, it seems, me). I mean, when was the last time you saw a page with the extension .shtml?...and that confusion led to thinking of a directive beginning with "#"?I didn't confuse Perl and CGI! (Guess I'm not bored of this conversation yet. Not until you see WHY I was wrong. It's clear as crystal that I was wrong, but the exact reason why isn't as clear yet.)
LONG STORY SHORT: I concede your point.

Astro> gforce's smiles can cure cancer in kittensgforce422 is awesome because:
-He made the absolute nicest comments about me in the other topic. I didn't respond to them yet, because I suck, but they are greatly appreciated! =D
-I would say he would also be a good runner up as one of the nicest people alive.
-He joined the IRC sometimes. But not enough, I say! Chat moar =D
-He is evidently only 18 year old but he could easily pass for 25. =D
-He is a drummer like *I* am and this in itself is cool.

I have to agree with Chris on that one.I like the new logo. One thing that i don't like tho is, Millie looks a bit shocked while looking at Ozy instead of calmly saying the Define "Cynical" Phrase.

It just seems the eyes are too big and the pupils are too small. I think DCS has been practicing Matt Groening's style this year or something and might be picking some slight traits in his own style.

Actually, I rather like that look on her here. It feels very Millie-ish to me. I'm not sure she can do anything "calmly"I like the new logo. One thing that i don't like tho is, Millie looks a bit shocked while looking at Ozy instead of calmly saying the Define "Cynical" Phrase.

How embarrassing: I didn't even notice that the new image was installed until reading this thread today.
