More Tracing

Postby VenM2 » Tue Aug 07, 2007 7:01 pm

I wanted to pass the time and so I traced this. Took much more time than I expected but I did it. Shading like this is not really my strong suit so I am supplying the line art for your coloring. Be aware that I reserve the very high resolution pics right now. Upwards of 3000 pixels tall. These are 800 tall.

What did you use to trace them? Flash is easy to trace things in (probably easier than Photoshop) and has curvy lines :P

I don't know how Paint Shop Pro compares, but you could give it a go anyway. I know from experience it's much easier to get round lines if you place them all individually, anyway. Yes it takes ages, but it looks much better.
Furries? Are they the nutters that pretend to be animals and draw humans that look like animals? Christ, I sink my head into my paws... -Rooster

I did something like that. I on occasion used my pen tablet which is dastardly hard to use because of my heavy hand style.

You know, you can adjust the pressure settings on a tablet. I tend to grind on the pen too, but with it adjusted I can draw fine little lines as well as thick.

Cameron is awesome because:
-Because he has an artistic style that is both complex and minimalist. This is profound!
-He once drew me as a roadrunner. It was an actual honest to god feral roadrunner, but a roadrunner nonetheless!
-He lives in Idaho among the wilderness and stuff and I envy him for that. 3:
-He is probably one of the most personable artists on here.
-I think he's the only one of us on here who drew a fanart that made it as a guest strip on O&M. This is an accomplishment!
