You have a lot of classical?
Perhaps then you could point me in the direction of a few particularly good pieces? Especially if they include organ. I've no-body around to suggest classical pieces, as everyone here is only interested in what is popular.

Imagine that. :)
Well, when you mention organ, I automatically think of Janacek's "Glagolitic Mass." It's one of my favorite pieces, and has some really crazy organ writing. I tend to like crazy writing. Which brings me to a question--what kind of classical do like more? I tend towards more recent and "modern" works. What sort of stuff have you listened to already and liked?

Some of my favorite things:
All the symphonies of Prokofiev, Mahler, Sibelius, Nielsen (not me, the other Nielsen :).) Symphony No. 5 by Vaughan Williams, Symphony No. 3 by Glass, Symphony No. 5 by Shostakovich, etc.

And I'm rather into Britten right now:
Peter Grimes (opera)
War Requiem
Spring Symphony
(Choral pieces)

I'd recommend Bartok's Concerto for Orchestra and Violin Concerto too, as well as the standard Stravinsky works (Sacre du Printeps, Petrushka, Firebird, and Symphony of Psalms.) And anything by Janacek.

Cameron is awesome because:
-Because he has an artistic style that is both complex and minimalist. This is profound!
-He once drew me as a roadrunner. It was an actual honest to god feral roadrunner, but a roadrunner nonetheless!
-He lives in Idaho among the wilderness and stuff and I envy him for that. 3:
-He is probably one of the most personable artists on here.
-I think he's the only one of us on here who drew a fanart that made it as a guest strip on O&M. This is an accomplishment!

Well, my limited classical collection is primarily composed of works by the most well known composers, and almost none is recent. That's not so much my taste as it is lack of selection. Any kind of description of what I like would be relatively vague, as I really haven't formed a particular preference yet. And really, my preference is likely to encompass most styles anyway. It's the same as my music tastes in general - I note what genres I don't like or don't listen to, it's a shorter list.

No problem then! Just try out some different things and see what there is, maybe get a book or do some research on the internet. I'd love to talk more about it. It's not like I have anyone to talk about music with around here either, in rural Idaho. :D

Also, Sorry for the typos and typing errors.

Only someone who is insane can keep a room tidy like that.
Actually, according to my mom's standards I'm a bit of a slob. :D
I want your mom. My parents are on the sloppy side, dad especially.
You look at my mom's computer desk my dad's then at mine, mine has space on it.

Nice house, Chris! It would be pretty strange for out here, but I suppose in the Philippines you can have flat-topped houses with glass doors and rooms not connected to other rooms...:D

@Burning Sheep: She's not for sale.

Sounds like your mom would possibly, probably shoot me. My room has laundry all over the floor. You can literally not see the carpet. I was recently asked by a friend, "how do you tell the clean and dirty apart?". The clean stuff smells like dryer sheets. My books are mostly in file boxes next to two non-functioning taken-apart computers on my dresser and the rest of them are on the floor-to-ceiling bookshelf. However, there are only two shelves of books. The third shelf down has my amp and guitar setup. There are two guitars hanging from screws on the wall by that. Oh yes, and most of the rest of the clutter is in boxes since I moved about six months ago. :P
Everything will be fine in the end. If it's not fine, it's not the end.

Yeah, I have lots of crap all over the place. Just how I like it.

(Oh, and the black thing leaning against a pile of boxes is a cake rack. Just in case you were wondering.)

Why shouldn't you want stuff everywhere, gives the place a "homey" feel to it.
Here is fine, there is good, but DC is my home (IRC is my vacation home that I visit more often than a normal person visits a vacation home.)

I'm going to remember that and use it next time someone says I have a messy room.

I still have no actual camera, so I used my webcam. Not nearly as good, and I couldn't drag it far from the desk...also, the first picture was on such a skewed angle it was paining me...so i rotated it in Photoshop.

And a better shot of the comp...this is a work in progress as you can see. It needs a floppy drive, new CD drives, and a couple other touchups, and then it should be complete.
