Not posting links here (I'm at work and shouldn't even be posting *this*), google for 'em and they will be the first hits. First one lets you converty any non-copy-protected DVD into iPod video format, second one silently disables DVD copy protection when you insert a DVD.

Video iPods are the BOMB!!!!
Oh, and Handbrake only works with Macs... and I found out a way to get videos from youTube onto my iPod! And I had to use some illegal multi-step processes to get videos on mine using Windows! (random video iPod garble, sorry...) But have fun with it! And happy birthday again!!
