AnthroCon!

Postby CoreyFox » Sun Jun 24, 2007 12:34 am

Guys, in exactly 2 weeks, i'm heading down to AnthroCon! Last year, i was unprepared. I just came to browse, and i only had about $350. I only got 2 commissions and one badge drawn, all of the fox you know as Corey. (In fact, my avatar is the first commission i ever had done of him. It wasn't colored until later, however.) I also got 2 buttons and a T-shirt related to The Suburban Jungle, a large framed pic of 3 dogs going golfing, and enough artwork to fill both my closet doors.

This time, i've saved $700, half of which i have on my debit card. I'm staying 2 nights, which should buy me more time to participate in the events and get more commissions of Corey done. I even had my Mom make me a costume. The last time i used it was when i was in a play, where Corey is an alien from a planet of anthrofoxes. The props department said i could keep the ears and the nose, but that i have to return them when i come back from the Con.

I plan on having lots of fun. Who else is going?

I live a 30 minute drive from AC and I still can't go. T.T
I'll be going next year for sure. And be meeting my boyfriend there for the first time. <<

Have fun Corey! Exactly what days are you going to be in town?

*EDIT*
I just confirmed that I'll be driving RIGHT BY anthrocon on the 7th. See, I go to downtown pittsburgh 6 times every summer to see musicals at the Benedum center, which is only about 2 blocks down the road from AC.

That's great. If you plan on looking for me, i'll be wearing a fox suit and my commissioned "Corey Fox" badge.

I'd like to go. I wanna see what these things are like. However, this year is certainly not the year considering all I have going on and/ or hindering me.

Have fun Corey!!! Hope you get a lot of commissions!

Where is AnthroCon anyway?
gforce422 is awesome because:
-He made the absolute nicest comments about me in the other topic. I didn't respond to them yet, because I suck, but they are greatly appreciated! =D
-I would say he would also be a good runner up as one of the nicest people alive.
-He joined the IRC sometimes. But not enough, I say! Chat moar =D
-He is evidently only 18 year old but he could easily pass for 25. =D
-He is a drummer like *I* am and this in itself is cool.

Philly I think.

I'm gonna try to get there next year with my cartooning supplies and my acoustic guitar. I may even have to hitch-hike :wag:

I dream of one day going to a con so that I can spend the time being uncomfortable due to not liking large crowds.
That which does not kill me, cripples me for life.

Woot! I'll be there!

Anthrocon is in Pittsburgh, actually, on the opposite end of the state. But, it used to be in Philly until a couple years ago, so you're close :-)

Is anyone here going to Eurofurence?
Furries? Are they the nutters that pretend to be animals and draw humans that look like animals? Christ, I sink my head into my paws... -Rooster

I'm leaving for AC in a few hours. If you'll be at the con, hopefully I'll see you there. If not, I'll see ya next week!
