Yeah, well in my metaphorical situation, it's a bit too late to say sorry when you scowl at the person you spat on while cleaning them off with that dirty rag. You already had ample opportunities earlier: right after the initial spit (which would've been considered an accident in said situation; this would be on page 2 of the discussion in question), or after that first rationalization (which would've been attributed to incompetence; this would be pages 3 or 4), provided of course that you quickly cleaned up after. (You had a 20-hour window, in other words, that would've at least let you save some face.)
Instead, now it comes off like you're only doing it because you think I'll treat it like some magical "it never happened" word...

Look, ideas changed. It was originally a group pic, now I am doing individual portraits. I have more time to work on individual pieces and make them good one by one rather than struggle with a single large project where a single mistake can spell doom for the whole. Now I can make those mistakes without hurting the other drawings. Thats just me, I'm spontaneous. I come up with something and something completely different comes out of it. Sage's colored pic was originally a standing pose but as I drew it changed to a sitting pose and a completely different idea. Same went for JR's, originally he was to be a bit angry over a stolen acorn but now it is surprise over a cameo. Things change when I do this stuff and when it comes to you it is no different. I didn't want too many people in a group, then I went off to portraits. I have the time for you now sir, so please just don't make this harder on me

When I started my last reply, all I saw was ":( sorry!" as Donnie's message. What's all the fuss about? I don't see any reason to...
As for my metaphor, did you notice how I mentioned the speck of dust? That matches up with the muscles he used as his original excuse not to draw me, something that is an optional feature (muscles is something a lot of people abstract out of drawings, since every living thing has them), as I said before, in the original thread, though it was obviously ignored.
