Actually it has more to do with lack of knowledge of American history. The rallying cry during the American War for Independence was "No taxation without representation" -- meaning that citizens who aren't represented by the government shouldn't have to pay taxes. In this case, "representation" actually means a metaphor, so the joke is basicly a pun.Lol, Nice. Ms.mudd looks awesome in the last panel.![]()

I imagine that if the US tried to squeeze money out of llewellynland for things like water or electricity or public schooling, Llewellyn would use his dragon mind tricks to convince the US that he should be taxing them for having to use all of their resources.
