A hindrance to furries?

Remember "Marsupilami"? I never watched the show, but he appeared in some comics in Disney Adventures. Once his absurdly long tail fell asleep, and it would get tangled in roots and whatnot. It didn't wake up until he himself was ready to sleep.

Cute stuff, if a bit pointless.

I know Marsupilami from the French Spirou & Fantasio comics.

I'd think that if furries were real they may be similar to the kangaroo, at least in leg structure, they have a tail but its quite different from a fox's or a dog's. I'd think that in order for them not to fall jutted out on their muzzles the tails would have to have a considerably thicker bone structure, be heavier, and probably permanently 'drooped' besides their bodies. This would allow the extra balance given by the tail actually be effective, but it wouldn't be extra balance, it would make it so that they can walk upright in the first place.
