... metaphorically speaking.
A new arrival...

What would you like to know?...
Before you ask, I'm not going to talk about that incident with Mrs Coolidge and the whipped cream, and that's final.

Just a walking contradiction, partly truth and partly fiction, taking every wrong direction on his lonely way back home.
(And there are a lot of wrong directions on that lonely way back home.)

Well, for those who really wish to know, I am a language major currently retraining as a computer programmer in the vague hope of one day achieving a state known in 'the civilised world' (ahem) as 'gainful employment'.
In my younger days I aspired to be a writer, and then something happened that took my confidence, and much of my creativity seemed to go with it. I barely write at all these days.
I am a pianist, I read voraciously, I enjoy intelligent conversation or silly conversation (silliness is vastly underrated). I am an excellent cook, and my pie truly is one of the 1,628,253,927 Wonders of the World. (Inflation.) I cannot draw, however, nor can I afford the fuel costs to launch windmills into space, or even into the garden next door. (And if anybody ever needed a Ballistic Low Orbit Windmill - pardon my acronym - it is they.)

... is that sarcasm? I find it so difficult to tell...that is the best thing I have ever read in the history of the internet.(And if anybody ever needed a Ballistic Low Orbit Windmill - pardon my acronym - it is they.)

Quite all right... there does seem to be an awful lot of friendliness around here; I do feel positively well-welcomed.
