Well, I have to say I agree with that. It would just be impossible to maintain the current standard in traslation to another medium.

I read it... ooh! ooh! what about animatin the comic strip the exact same way? I mean, like, when locke throws the water balloon, actually see him throw it. you know, like they did for 8-bit theatre. like, nothing new, the exact same strips as flash animations. OTOH, that'd be a lot of work for nothing, sort of. especially in the ones where nobody moves. and the voices would still be a problem. but it would be neat for at least 5 seconds. BTW when i read the comics out loud i read locke with a grown-up voice. on the first storyline.

Maybe they could string entire story arcs together and add some high-quality filler.

Haha.. I hope this doesn't end up being a movie length thing that resembles the <a href='http://www.geocities.com/tavis_s/art/oandm.html' target='_blank'>animations</a> I made from the strips. Hmm. wait. Even that would still be pretty cool. *recalls the "State-of-the-art anti-missile defense" one* Yeah..

There was a Blondie cartoon at one time (1968), that frightens me. As for the voice of Ozy, someone with a voice similar to Linus from Peanuts, but perhaps a a tiny bit lower.
