It's understandable, FoxChild. Still, I want to stick to a January 8 deadline (I have a post ready for the occasion).. people are getting eager to vote.

As for the other entrants, Jacob and Doctor Fred... Do any of you have specific titles for your works? I was going to use a quote from the artwork, but I'd rather you name your works as you see fit. For example, I'm calling mine "Clothing for Christmas", putting the title and author in the poll entry, and again just above each submitted picture in the poll's first post.

Mine's rather obvious. It's "Feeling Used"

Very good job Jacob and codoes to you too Dr. Fred. A have to say that that is not a zen ball though. That's a diaoism ball. I think that's what that's called.

Well i don't know about zen too much so i just used a layman's term. Still, zen ball sounds better than diaoism ball don't you think?

As for a name for my entry, i really don't know, i never intended one for it. Let me think a while...erm, this is hard. It's not about anything specifically just getting up too early to open the presents. How about "Getting up too early to open the presents?" or if you prefer, Christmas 'Morning', with the emphasis (the apostrophes) on morning. Not a great title i know, but there it is. If this was for 2000 i'd have said Millie-nium.

Jacob, I rather liked that part where Llewellyn says "Technically, it is the 25th." I'd have used that for a title if you weren't going to say anything. Hmm.. I guess "Christmas Morning" will do alright.

'Millie-nium'... *groans* I thought my puns were hazardous.

Jacob seems to think envy has an odor.

I'd agree, i'd say envy stinks!

oh, and here is A christmas submission, not the full project.. in fact less than one percent of it! in any case, i'm putting a link to it, because file (pixel wise) is to big to warrent putting in here. It's roughly 1200 by 700, i think. I couldn't resize it without bot A) distorting the images and making it un-readable (probably still is!) because when i had to format the computer, i got rid of the installed image editing program, and I have yet to re-install it on this comp.

Key notes of the piece:
1) you'll probably notice the begining of the strip is the end of a Simpson's origional. I couldn't help but through that into the larger project, and i just thought i'd toss it in here too.
2) the second bottum panel, Millie's tail is digitally added. What can I say, i was in a hurry!
3) the piece was done in a hurry, and i never got it out of the pencil stage. Meh, oh well.
4) the final pannel with Millie, i'm proud enough of that that it will probably be traced directly into the other project.
5) I could still use some help coloring backgrounds. Any photoshop users ready and willing? I've pmed caigan, but i guess with his moving my message got lost in the mess of things to do(quite understandably! I know what it's like to move... a lot!)
6) no, I will not reveal to any one else who isn't willing and able to help what the larger project is. I'll just let this 'teaser' warp your brains for a little!

*edit*
7) If you take notice, just from an artistic point of view, I have started basing the chars off of different simpson sub-styles. I'm trying to give each char a unique look, while keeping them true to what, and who they are. it makes the two easier to draw distinctly as well.
**double edit* and yes, i do realize the grevious mispelling of "alright" in the last pannel... I feel rather foolish for that, but i was really in a hurry, and watching CSI Miami with my family, so my attention was split.

***and yet a tripple edit! Tavis did me the favor of taking the image, reducing it, and fixing a few of the smudges that appear in general from the scanner, adnd also poorly erased sections. Here, for your enjoyment, as an attatchment, my submission.

That's good work. Millie could use a tad more work though but otherwise good job. With the exception that snowballs go piff and not biff.

oh, picky picky! piff vs biff. and with millie, the only thing i really have to work on, in my belief, is her hair (for whatever reason, i can't get it to look quite right...). remember, these were hurried scetches. not too hurried, but still hurried enough to not show everything at its best. any recomendations are welcom, though!

oh, and no I don't expect to be anywhere close to victory this time around, i just wanted to submit something for the sake of submiting it!
