Couldn't get a good Background to Use, so I just did it without a background

Very nice. I'm not quite sure I buy the Timulty/Pichu thing, though. To my knowledge, the kid doesn't have self-injuring tendencies. (The scary thing is before I purchased the game and thus got out of practice with him due to having to unlock the guy, I was better with Pichu than Pikachu)

As for the Metroid thing. I never understood how Samus being female took people by suprise. I mean, you could blatently see the Power Suit had breasts even with the NES graphics.

You mean Livery.

I didn't see Pichu Timulty as self-indulgent; he just likes the name of the character. Anyway, he must be somewhat self-indulgent if he has a blog that he updates with personal creations like "Marble garble zarble narble larble."

Last I checked, I still do better with Pichu than with Pikachu. Need for speed, man.

She still looked a bit like Master Chief from Halo. Not that that was around yet.

I was kinda cheated out of the surprise. I had seen Samus in ads for Metroid II, when it was hard to get a good, long look at her (and I was too young to care about breasts). The next time I saw her was when somebody was playing the first game with her armor off. It wasn't until I sat down to draw Samus Mudd that I really noticed the barbell figure.

I wouldn't let him play with the sword otherwise.

Yes, that was my inspiration.

I intend to put up another drawing eventually, but it's hard to follow the popularity of Samus Mudd.
