Sketches (mostly O&M)

Postby MandoAndy » Wed Jul 05, 2006 8:31 am

Go here to see all the sketches

...but here are some to whet your appitite. I just wanted to show that I've been working on trying to get a grasp on the characters. I can't completely copy DC... because... um... well, I'm not that awesome yet, and I shouldn't completely copy the style anyways. I'm trying to find a way to blend both mine and DC's.

I love how expressive each doodle is and how each one works on different angles and postures. I always believed body language and the face were the most important parts in practising! Also hand gestures, but the face is the most fun to draw in my opinion heh.

I LOVE the Llwellyn look in the bottom left.
It's not often he has a bewildered expression, (never actually) but if he did you nailed it!

I think the Llewellyn ones were the best.

Those are nice! I especially liked the one with Millie on the floor(?) laughing. It got me laughing along, until I started wondering what was so funny.

Llewellyn and the Fox rolling on the floor (Can't tell if it's Millie) were funny, and in your full sketches, I love the last one.

You mind if I use the pic of Millie in hysterics on the floor as a reference for one of my characters in a future strip dude?

Cuz it's awsome :wag:

Those are great, you really do a pretty decent job at those characters. :)
